Together, these two new divisions give marketers a single source that provides strategic, data-driven delivery of a wide array of ROI-focused marketing and advertising solutions.

“This announcement represents the culmination of several years of work to build out a best-in-class digital marketing services organization and set it up to continue to compete in markets nationwide,” said A. H. Belo Chairman and CEO Jim Moroney. “At the same time, we are further resourcing our regional sales organization so that it can serve its customers with all of the digital marketing services offered by Belo + Company, while still offering its customers our extensive regional audience reach and access to the depth of data we have about these audiences.”

“Over the last five years,” continued Moroney, “as our reach expanded nationally, we saw an opportunity to optimize our organization so we could serve different types of customers, partners and resellers. By reorganizing our services into these two divisions, Belo + Company and Belo Media Group, we are now giving both national and local businesses a single point of expertise delivering innovative, integrated marketing solutions that help them connect with customers and grow their companies.”

“What is truly unique here,” said Moroney, “is our expert, in-house team that builds customized strategies and nimbly adjusts them as needed, based on an understanding of each client’s marketing goals, sophisticated data analysis and a silo-agnostic approach.”

Belo + Companyencompasses all A. H. Belo-owned marketing solutions brands that serve clients nationwide with innovative, precision marketing solutions and measurable return on investment. These include Vertical Nerve (online advertising, search engine optimization, digital analytics and website development), Speakeasy (content marketing, reputation management and social media management), Distribion (marketing automation and email marketing), Connect (targeted display advertising) and MarketingFX (print and promotional brokerage). Tim Storer, former CEO of Vertical Nerve, Distribion and MarketingFX, is president of B+C.

“Marketing has become more complex than ever before, with the proliferation of communications options – so it’s no wonder that marketing executives are overwhelmed,” said Storer. “That’s why we built Belo + Company, a unified, performance-based marketing solutions agency using data and analytics to better understand and engage target audiences across all marketing channels.”

Belo Media Groupencompasses the print and digital audiences of all A. H. Belo-owned properties serving the North Texas market: The Dallas Morning News, DallasNews.com, GuideLive, SportsDay, al Día, briefing and the CrowdSource events business. BMG also offers the B+C digital and print services in the North Texas market, resulting in 100 percent reach of DFW audiences. Alison Draper, former president of CrowdSource, is president of BMG, responsible for all advertising and sponsorship sales. BMG replaces the division previously known as DMNMedia.

“Belo Media Group’s print, digital and experiential assets deliver more local audience – and with a higher-precision level of targeting – than any other media option in the North Texas market,” said Draper. “Today, we have enhanced those offerings by leveraging and offering streamlined access to the best-in-class marketing services delivered by Belo + Company.”

Belo + Company will be working with other media companies to provide a similar reseller relationship in additional major U.S. markets.

Belo + Company will be located at Campbell Centre in Dallas, while Belo Media Group will be based at the new Statler development in downtown Dallas along with the rest of The Dallas Morning News.
