From 1997 through 2004, Bieri both consulted with clients and served in their organizations as CIO or Chief Development Officer. During his tenure with The Feld Group, he worked with companies such as Delta Airlines, BMC Software, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wellpoint Health Networks, Heidrick and Stuggles International, Inc. and Ameriserve.

Bieri began his career with Computer Science Corporation in 1981, serving as systems engineer and programmer responsible for developing software for the Space Shuttle program before moving on to Raytheon Company, where he served as a software development and integration manager for the Ballistic Missile Early Warning Radar developed for the U.S. Air Force Space Command.

"I'm thrilled to be joining such a well-respected Company as A. H. Belo at such an important time," said Bieri. "Technology advances offer established companies the opportunity to create both efficiencies and growth potential. I look forward to working to create a technology organization that can take full advantage of those opportunities."
