Belo Corp. Settles Securities Action on Favorable Terms

DALLAS, Nov. 11 -- Belo Corp. (NYSE: BLC) and A. H. Belo Corporation (NYSE: AHC) announced today that the litigation filed against Belo Corp. and certain individuals in 2004 related to circulation matters at The Dallas Morning News has been settled on terms that Belo Corp. and A. H. Belo Corporation consider favorable, without payment of any settlement amount that is material to either company or its affiliates. The settlement follows an August 2009 decision by the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirming a U.S. District Court's denial of class certification sought by the plaintiffs.
